A Spotlight on the ESN National Championship 2024 Grand Finals

It is rare for domestic competitions to be held on a special stage with spectators. MESA has hosted only once or twice in the past 2-3 years, the largest of which was the MESA Nomadic Masters Tournament 2 years ago. The grand final of that tournament was between Team NKT and IHC esports teams, and Team NKT secured the win, along with qualifying for the BLAST Premier Spring 2022 tournament.

That year, the esports industry came into the limelight from the Unitel-funded Jig Jug platform and began hosting the National Championship 2022 tournament. Since it was the first year, the organization was not entirely smooth for the players, but the teams received prize money of 30 million euros – a fairly high prize domestically.

In the 2 years since then, even though the Jig Jug platform was shut down, the esports industry from Unitel launched a platform called ESN, or Esports Network, which broadcasts its programs both on TV channels and online.

Having previously hosted many tournaments such as the National Championship in 2022 and 2023, as well as the Winter Showdown in the winter of 2022, this grand final tournament confirmed their solid experience in the industry.

The grand final event of the ESN National Championship 2024 took place at the UG Arena, which has been in operation since last year. This time the event filled the venue, which has a 3,000-person capacity.

In addition to being the tournament’s bottom table finals and grand final matches at the event, the event also featured an Allstar Showmatch featuring 10 people consisting of presenters, commentators, and professional players who voted for fans. Of these, the first 2 games were led by commentators Lexor2k and Zwoo, and the grand final match, was by KeI and Chinzo.

From the moment you walked through the doors of the UG Arena, the institute greeted you with opportunities to buy the players’ jerseys, visit the player autograph signing section, and participate in a small 1v1 tournament – all bringing hype to the atmosphere., the institute’s action was able to generate the hype of the game, and the walking section to the stage was located in the main part of the hall. Invitation audience seats were posted.

In the final match of the bottom table, the IHC Esports team, which has not been a month away from the recent roster, played with the ATOX Esports team, and the Ancient and Overpass map was defeated by the ATOX Esports team and qualified for the Grand Final with a 2-0 win.

This was followed by the much-anticipated Allstar Showmatch the audience had been waiting for. Team KeI and Team bLitz faced off against each other in a game of fire on the Dust II map, and the winning team was rewarded with a $2 million prize as well as a month’s worth of Mountain Dew drinks.

The event started at 3:00 PM and entered its grand final match at 7:30 PM. ATOX Esports vs. MongolZ, with ATOX Esports claiming victory in overtime. But on the next two maps, MongolZ became the champion of the ESN National Championship 2024 tournament by winning with a clear advantage and a score gap that couldn’t be closed.

In addition to receiving a prize of 15 million US dollars, they also got the right to participate in the Asian region qualifiers for the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown tournament, while mzinho, the MVP winner of the game, won 2 million US dollars.
